This is a very nice, antique, round, bentwood, pantry box. This primitive, Shaker style box is from the late 1800's to early 1900's. Seams and edges held together with copper nails.
Marked on the inside lid with pen, "original".
Measures approximately 5-3/4" across the top x 2-1/4" tall with lid on.
Box is in good condition overall, with expected wear for the age of the piece. There is some mild warping of the lid that caused a few of the nails to break through the edge, but the lid is intact and fits nicely on the box. Please refer to pictures for details.
Box has great patina and would be a great addition to any collection of pantry boxes or primitive kitchen antiques!
