This is a very nice, antique, pantry box. This primitive, Shaker style box is from the late 1800's to early 1900's. Marked "original" on inside of lid in pencil.
Box measures approximately 9" across lid x 4-3/4" tall
Box is in good condition overall. There is a few small chips and cracks on the lid, one where a nail used to be. There are a couple of chips along the bottom edge and top edge of the lid. A crack across the top of the lid looks like it was glued on the inside, but the lid is intact and fits well. Wear is consistent with age and previous use and as with any vintage, handmade item, flaws and imperfections may be present.
Box has great patina and is a beautiful example of an antique Shaker style pantry box.
