This is an ornate, 1800's, Tuttle & Bailey, Cast Iron Arch Top Heating Wall Register, with the original WORKING dampers. It has a beautiful ornate design, and nice patina. The back of the dampers are marked with the maker's information (Tuttle & Bailey, New York) as well as the patent date of 1872. This is a great architectural piece that could easily be painted to suit your decor, or stripped and restored to its original condition.

It is in very good condition! The detail on the cast iron grill, is free of cracks, breaks, or other structural damage. The register is also in good shape, and the dampers open and close as they should. Some expected cosmetic wear, dirt, and cosmetic wear is present.
MEASUREMENTS: The overall measurements of the face are 10" wide X 14" tall. The measurements of the inner register portion that fits into the wall, are 8" wide x 11-3/4" tall.
