Framed Crewel Embroidery Dutch Windmill, Handmade Delft Netherlands Blue and White Crewelwork, Windmill and Sailboat Embroidery
Framed, Delft Netherlands, hand embroidered, Dutch Windmill. Beautiful crewelwork Windmill and Sailboat along the water's edge in various shades of blue on off-white / beige linen fabric background.
Piece is nicely centered and taut in a pretty, textured, wooden frame with a burlap trim layer.
Hand stitched from a vintage, 1978 Something Special Crewel Delft Kit that included linen fabric, Persian type wool yarn, floss and needle with instructions.
Frame measures 19"wide x 23" tall x 1-1/4" thick
Embroidery piece measures about 15-1/2" wide x 19-1/2" tall.
Frame is in good condition with only minor imperfections, scuffs, etc. Embroidery is also in good condition with normal imperfections as expected with vintage, handmade items. No rips, tears or holes noted.
