This is a beautiful original early 1970's Slate Gray Smith Corona Super Sterling Portable Typewriter. This machine was acquired by the original owner, and comes complete with the case, owners manual, dated proof of purchase, and the original cardboard box. The serial number 6SS-454024 indicates that it was manufactured in 1970. The proof of purchase tag is dated August, 1971. It was purchased at "Two Guys" department store in Shillington Pennsylvania.
This machine is in excellent working condition, and looks as good as it works. It shows very little cosmetic wear, as it was only used for a short period of time. All functions of this machine are in good working order, keys work and return to the idle position correctly. The case is in great shape as well, free of damage. I do not have the key for the lock. A new ribbon may need to be installed, and a detailed cleaning and pm service is also recommended.
This is a very nice, one owner machine that was used very little. It is very rare to find one with the original cardboard box, along with proof of purchase, and the owners manual. This is a nice find for any collection or daily use.
