Mid-Century, Atomic, Gerald Thurston, Lightolier, Gooseneck, Desk Lamp, UFO, Saucer Shade, Diffuser
This is a very unique, mid-century, brass-tone, atomic / UFO style desk lamp attributed to Gerald Thurston for Lightolier from the 1950's. Adjustable, flexible gooseneck attached to a round, brass-tone base. Pierced saucer syle shade has a pierced metal diffuser and a wooden finial switch.
Approximate measurements:
Base - 7"across
Shade - 10-1/2" wide x 6" tall including finial
Height - 9" to bottom of shade, 7" to bottom of diffuser
Similar model lamps found are advertised as Gerald Thurston Lightolier. There is a partial label found on inside of shade.
Lamp is in good, original condition, with a couple small dings, dents and other imperfections. In good working order.
This one-of-a-kind, retro desk lamp would make a great addition to any lamp collection!
