A Nice 1929 Royal Portable Typewriter, Model "P" with Original Case. Serial number is P142884.
It is in nice condition, with no major damage. The draw band (or cord) that is attached to a spring, and keeps tension on the drum needs to be replaced for it to function correctly. Everything else on this unit works correctly, all of the keys work and return to the idle position, etc. There are some cosmetic paint blemishes and part of the logo missing on the shield in front of the drum. This is a very solid old unit that needs very little work to be in excellent working order.... The case is generally in good shape, with a good working latch, and the handle still in tact. A new ribbon may need to be installed, and a good thorough servicing should be performed at the same time the drum draw band is replaced.
MEASUREMENTS: The overall measurements including the case are 13" wide x 12" deep x 5 1/2" tall.
