This is a pretty, sterling silver and niello, Siam Brooch. Made in Thailand in the 1960's, Siam jewelry shows scenes from Hindu and Buddhist religious text.
This pin portrays Mekkala(h), the Goddess of Lightening, shown with lightning bolts coming from her hand and Ramasoon, the God of Thunder, shown with an axe in his hand. These are both common characters and often depicted in Siam Jewelry.
Pin is in very good, vintage, previously owned condition. Locking C clasp intact and in good working order.
