This is a very nice, 1920's adjustable piano stool, manufactured by A. Merriam Co. of Mass. USA. Features include iron claw and glass ball feet, and a concave seat, designed for added comfort. Seat height is adjustable from approximately 18-1/2" to 22". Stool turn screw plate is marked "A. Merriam Co. Mass. USA".
A wonderful example of quality and craftsmanship from this time period.
Stool is in nice, original condition, ready for daily use. Seat "adjusting screw" works with ease. Simply turn seat left or right, to raise or lower as desired. Wood has fantastic patina, with age appropriate cosmetic wear and imperfections, including scratches, finish wear, minor knicks, etc. There are no structural cracks or other damage. Glass balls are in tact and free of breaks.
Measures approximately 14-1/2" across at the seat, and height is adjustable from 18-1/2" to 22".
