Multi tone brown and tan, coiled, woven, basket from Rwanda.
"Agaseke" or Peace baskets are a traditional part of Rwandan culture, focusing on healing, peace and economic self reliance. Woven from locally sourced materials such as sisal and sweet grass, and dyed to create geometric patterns.
Measures approximately 11-1/2" wide x 2-3/4" tall.
In good condition overall with minor wear. No missing pieces, holes or other damage.
Nice addition to an art wall.
