This is an antique , 4 legged, adjustable swivel piano stool, with iron claw and glass ball feet. Stool was made in the early 1900's, by Tonk, of Chicago Illinois.. Seat height is adjustable from approximately 18" to 23". The iron seat bracket on the bottom of the seat, is embossed with "Tonk Chicago".
Stool is in nice condition, ready for daily use. Adjustable seat works with ease. Simply turn seat left or right, to raise or lower as desired. Wood has the original aged patina with appropriate cosmetic wear. A wonderful example of the design and craftsmanship from this time period. This is a good solid stool, not perfect, but very nice, with lots of life left. Seat has a slight wobble when raised to the higher positions, which is normal, and very common for adjustable height stools.
Stool measures approximately 14-1/2" across at the seat, and the height is adjustable from approx. 18" to 23".
