1950 Royal Companion Portable Manual Typewriter with Case, Serial # F197300.2

This is a 1950, beige Royal Companion portable typewriter, in working order, with the original case. Serial number for this unit is F197300.2.
CONDITION: This machine in in good working order. The keys all appear to return as they should, and the carriage and other components function as intended. I included a type sample in the last photo. Case is in shape as well with cosmetic wear. Latch works as it should, but I do not have the key for the lock.
NOTE: If this typewriter is being purchased to use on a regular basis, I would STRONGLY recommend having it cleaned and serviced by a professional in the typewriter field. Although this typewriter is pretty clean overall, it is important that the mechanical parts are clean and properly lubricated, to ensure that it performs correctly over the long term. At a minimum, it will need a new ribbon, which is readily available on the internet.
