A very nice Victorian, brass electric wall sconce, (circa late 1920's) with a blue and white, frosted, embossed floral glass shade. Fixture is in good working order, with brand new, period correct wiring. Features include a switched pull chain light bulb socket, allowing the light to be mounted to an existing power source, that does not have a wall power switch. Wall plate can be mounted directly to the wall with two brass screws, provided with fixture. (plastic or metal wall anchors may be needed if mounting to drywall or plaster)
Measurements: The overall measurements with the shade attached, are approx. 4-1/2" wide x 15" tall to the very top of the wall plate. The projection from the wall to the outer edge of the shade, is approx. 8". The fitter size for the glass shades is 2-1/4".
CONDITION: Sconce fixture is in nice condition, free of structural breaks and cracks. The original patina on the brass has been preserved as it was when we acquired it. Mild, age appropriate cosmetic wear is present. Fixture has been tested, and is in good working order, and ready to install. Some generally mild cosmetic wear is present on the glass shade, with a couple of very small areas of paint loss on the floral pattern. The glass shade is free of cracks, breaks, and other structural damage.
