This is a Vintage Seiler Instrument Co. Surveyor's transit level with wooden dovetailed case. Transit identification tag reads "St Louis USA Ser No. 63-15879". The transit appears to be in good working order, but it is being sold as is, for a display piece or for a re-purpose project. The wooden dovetailed case is in good solid condition, with normal cosmetic wear and patina. Leather strap is missing. Identification tag on wooden case reads "Warren Knight Co. Precision Instruments Philadelphia Pa. USA."
The wooden case measures 14" wide x 6" deep x 9" tall.
This is a nice old Surveyor's transit with a fabulous dovetailed wooden case. It would be a great display piece on a side table or mantel.
