1933-1935 NRA Blue Eagle Tag, Two Piece Casual Pajamas, Loungewear Set, Hand Embroidered Top

Pale yellow, sleeveless top has mint green bib and collar with hand embroidery. Under the bib is also embellished with hand embroidered flowers. Closes at the top with a single, fabric covered button and ties on both sides with bow in front, under the collar. Does NOT come in the box shown, for display purposes only.

Pale yellow pants are pleated pants with wide bottom legs and 3 side buttons.
Both pants and top marked size 17.
Tag on shirt bottom hem reads, "NRA Code, Made under the UNDERGARMENT and NEGLIGEE Code Authority.
Size 17, Style 227. NRA, The National Recovery Association, existed only from 1933-1935 as part of FDR's New Deal, in an effort to boost America's economy during the Great Depression.

Approximate measurements lying flat
Shoulder width 15", armpit to armpit 22", 23" across bottom. Collar to hem measures 24" long.
Pants measure 15-1/2" wide at waist, 41" long from waist to hem, 25-1/2" inseam.

Set is in very good condition considering age. I believe it has never been worn with original tags and still has original fold lines and tied bow. There are some very faint stains on the mint green bib but no rips, tears or major stains. I am not sure about the fabric type, but I believe it is rayon.

Fantastic, vintage pajama set.
