Beautiful, rustic, hand carved and hand painted, folk art Santa, holding a basket, by Paige Koosed, signed and dated 1988.
Measures about 5-1/2" wide x 4" deep and stands about 10-1/4" tall.
In nice condition with some wear, scuffs and scratches consistent with age. No cracks, splits or breaks noted. As with any unique, handmade item, flaws and imperfections may be present.
Santa looked like he had been holding something in his left hand that was missing, so I made a primitive cane / walking stick from a twig. We packed it separately for shipping so it did not break and needs to be gently placed back in his hand. Great gift for any Santa collector.
