Beautiful, Japanese Tensha bead necklace. Seven, egg shaped, acrylic Tensha beads with black and gold, painted beads in between. Marked, "Japan" on clasp end.
Made in Japan, Tensha beads are acrylic beads with intricate patterns transferred onto them. The beads are then covered with lacquer to protect them, creating a lightweight, durable and beautiful bead, resembling the look of cloisonné.
Measures approximately 24" long including clasps.
Necklace is in good condition overall with some wear, scuffs and scratches, consistent with age and previous use. There is some paint loss to a few of the gold beads and a few of the black beads. The larger beads have intact graphics with bright colors.
