Vintage, 1950's, Fabrique, red, velvet handbag with gold tone, metal handles.
Uniquely shaped handbag with double handles that close over the single pocket body. Red, velvet fabric is folded in pleats on the front and the back and then attached to gold tone, metal handles on each side. Torpedo shaped top clasp, bends to open, snaps closed.
Inside is lined with silky, black, satin fabric with one small, slip pocket. Pocket is marked, "Fabrique, Made in U.S.A.".
Purse is in good condition with some wear noted, consistent with previous use and age. There are a few areas where the velvet is worn, mostly on the handles. There are a few scuffs and dings to the metal on the handles. There are no rips or tears to the outside or interior.
Measures approximately 9" at widest point x 2" thick x 13-1/2" long including handles, 8" long from bottom to top of bag not including clasp. Space between handles and bag measures about 5".
Great gift for the girl who has everything, (except this purse)!
