This is a 1940's Cast Iron Heating Wall Register & Grate, with the original working dampers. The grate has a nice, ornate design, with nice patina. This is a great architectural piece that could easily be painted to suit your decor.
Grate is in good condition, free of cracks, breaks, and other structural damage. The register is also in good shape, with working dampers. Some age appropriate cosmetic wear, dirt, and light surface rust is present.
MEASUREMENTS: The overall measurements of the grate are 9-3/4" wide x 11-1/2" tall. The measurements of the inner register portion that fits into the wall opening, are 8" wide x 10" tall.
