12" Appleton Industrial Explosion Proof Light with Cage, Model VGU-2 Form 200, Factory Light, Pendant Light
This is an original, large Appleton industrial, explosion proof light fixture, model "VGU-2 Form 200". Includes the metal cage protector, as well as the heavy duty explosion proof glass globe. Fixture is embossed with "Appleton VGU-2 Form 200" as well as the patent information. Includes the original porcelain bulb socket, and accepts standard size light bulbs up to 660 watts. Base of the fixture has two mounting "ears" to mount directly to the ceiling or wall, and 3/4" threaded ports to mount to an iron pipe. This would be perfect to convert into a wall sconce, just add iron pipe, and a wall mounting flange.
Overall measurements are 6" across x 12" tall.
CONDITION: The fixture, glass globe, and cage are all in very good preowned condition. Glass globe is clean and clear, free of cracks and breaks. Cast metal cage and fixture base are free of cracks, breaks, and other damage. Some dirt, and light cosmetic wear is present. Fixture has been tested, and is in good working order.
