Antique CRR of NJ Railroad Lantern Fill Can, Signed, Eagle Fuel Can, Railroadiana
This is a very early, (Central Railroad of New Jersey) CRR of NJ Railroad Eagle Lantern Fill Can, with a spout, and wire carrying handle. Can includes the original CRR of NJ steel Label, and "Eagle" is embossed on the top. This can was used to carry fuel for early carriage lanterns, or passenger train car lanterns. The would be a perfect addiction to any railroad or train collection.
It measures 5-1/2" across at the bottom x 8" tall to the top of the center fill cap.
Condition: Can is in good solid condition, with expected cosmetic wear and patina. I am not sure whether or not it would hold liquid, but this is being sold as an antique display piece.
