This is a vintage brown, moriage, redware teapot made in Japan. Teapot has built in strainer with gold accents and trim. Gold painted flowers are accented with raised, blue, white and orange dots in the typical, moriage style.
Unglazed bottom is marked, "Made in Japan"
Measures approximately 8" from handle to spout x 4-3/4" front to back x 6" tall to the very top of the lid.
Holds about 4 cups (32 ounces / 960 ml) of liquid.
This teapot is in good condition. There are a few spots where the glaze smudged, please see pictures for details. There are no chips, cracks or breaks noted.
