Chinese Rice Grain Porcelain Teapot and Six (6) Cups, JingDeZehn Blue and White Tea Set, Chinese Teapot, Ceramic Teapot
Asian style teapot with built in strainer made in China. Teapot is rice grain pottery with pretty blue pattern around top and bottom as well as on lid. Rattan handle attaches to both sides.
Rice grain pottery is made by poking holes in the piece, then filling with glaze before firing, creating a translucent, sheer pattern.
Teapot measures 7" across from handle to spout, about 6" wide at widest point (not including spout) x 4" tall to top of lid and 5-1/2" tall including handle.
Teapot comfortably holds 4 cups (24 ounces or about cc) of liquid.
Teapot set is in good condition, with very minor wear noted. A slight wobble is noted when sitting on a flat surface, however, this does not affect the function of the pot. No chips, cracks or breaks noted. Very mild staining noted on inside. No damage noted to the handle.
