Vintage Fomerz basket, handmade in Spain. Made in the style of a Caro Nan basket purse, basket is made of woven wood with single, wood handle. Lid is hinged and has a hand painted scene of a little girl lying in the grass by a duck pond. Small duck also painted on the front. Basket is lined with multicolored, patchwork style fabric. Bottom is marked, "Hand Made, Fomerz Spain".
Measures 10-1/4" wide x 5" across top, 4" across bottom and 7" tall not including handles.
Approximately 4" between basket and handle, for a total of 11" tall with handle up.
Basket is in good condition with no major structural damage. Some minor wear with a few tiny cracks noted consistent with use and age. Painted picture is intact with no paint loss noted and nice, bright colors. No rips or tears noted to interior fabric.
Use this unique basket as a purse, or a sewing basket, it would also be great to hold remotes on a side table or bookshelf.
