A Lot of 6 Vintage Architectural Iron Roof Snowbirds / Snow Guards. "Snow birds" (also called snow guards) have been used on slate, tile, and metal roofs for more than a century. They are placed on the roof surface near the bottom edge, to catch the melting snow, and keep it from sliding off the roof in larges "chunks", which can destroy the rain gutters and other parts of the home's exterior. These architectural pieces could be used as intended, or they would be great to re-purpose for coat / hat hooks, or secure them to the wall to add to your rustic decor.
Each snow guard measure approx. 8" wide X 4 1/2" tall, not including the fastening strip.
