This is an authentic, 1930's, Pennsylvania Railroad, train tracks iron STOP sign "flag". The person that I acquired this from, indicated that it would have been clamped onto the railroad tracks, to let the Engineer / operator to know where to stop the train, when arriving at the cargo rail yard or other destination. This is truly, a one of a kind piece of Pennsylvania Railroad history. This is a fantastic sign for the man cave, or to add to your collection of railroadiana.
The STOP "flag" measures 14" wide x 10" tall. The overall height is 54".
Sign and clamp on pole are both good and solid, with surface rust as shown in the photos. The hinge point at the bottom is rested fast, and will need to be freed in order to open and close the "clamp"
