Antique, wooden, jointed, Shoenhut doll, made in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Patented 1911, made sometime between 1913-1930.
Measures approximately 13" tall.
I believe this a toddler doll with painted eyes and is fully articulated with metal / steel joints.
Incised marking on back reads, "Schoenhut Doll, Pat. Jan. 17, '11 U.S.A., & Foreign Countries"
There is a small part of original decal on the back of the neck that reads, "H.E. Schoenhut, c (copyright mark), 1913".
Some information is included from years ago when the doll's owner was looking into having her restored.
In good condition overall considering age. There is wear, scuffs, scratches and some cracking/chipping to her face, nose and head. Paint on eyes is mostly intact. All joints are original and hold position. Doll does need a good cleaning. Wear is consistant with age and previous use. Does not have hair or clothing.
This original, antique doll, is a great addition to any doll collection!
